CASUAL SUMMER LOOK & WHAT TAKING PICTURES FOR BLOG POSTS IS REALLY LIKE

Hello my friends! How are you all doing? Happy Sunday! We spent the morning in the city. We grabbed breakfast at Tatte Bakery & Cafe and ate these delicious croissant sandwiches. I'm a croissant snob ever since I've had the real deal in Paris. I've tried quite a few croissants here in the states and I'd have to say Tatte's is the closes to Paris. After our tummies were full we snapped some photos of my casual summer look. I dressed super casual because we were going to head over over to the Charles River and walk the entire river. I wore this cute cropped band tee, a high waisted denim skirt and some white sneakers. If you’re ever in Boston, it’s such a beautiful spot to check out, the views of the city is just breathtaking! The Charles River is a very special place to us. Keven and I spent a lot of time there when we started dating back when we were 19. We were so young and have tons of fun memories there. It’s where he asked me to be his girlfriend, where he told me he loved me and where he proposed :)

I wanted to spill the tea on what it's really like to take photos in public. It’s not at all insta-perfect.
You’ll take a million photos and they just don’t come out the way you want. You’re annoyed and so is the photographer (in my case my hubby). People are always around! The stares you get from random people walking by or driving by is sooooooo awkward!! The worst is when people start honking the horn. I die when people do that, it just draws attention I am not looking for. Or what about trying the “fun” or “different” shot, they never come out cute but instead I’m looking like a weirdo lol I could go on and on but wanted to share a few things about how it’s really like taking blog photos. At the end of the day it’s all worth it, I just love my little blog!

Have a fab week babes xo

P.S. As we we’re taking these photos the owners of the house came out haha talk about awkward! Has anyone ever experienced that?!

  1. The croissant sandwiches sound yummy.
The high waisted blue denim skirt, cropped 'Pink Floyd graphic T-shirt and white sneakers look fabulous styled together. I can only imagine what it's like trying to get outfit photos to come out well in public places. I had to take forty to fifty photos just to get two I could use when I was inside with nobody else around.
Your outfit photos in this post are fabulous! You look fantastic and I love the scenic settings. Cute outfit!

  4. Oh Tatte sound great, I will have to check it out if I can get to Boston. And this is a such on trend casual look! Yes shooting in public is awkward as is making videos. When I first started I dreaded shooting b/c of this reason but now I am use to it and don't mind it so much anymore lol.

  8. Tell me about it, its so awkward to do the photoshoot in busy streets, I always need some special mental preparation when I take pictures in the middle of Manhattan , haha.
These pictures came out great, though. You look super cute.

    1. Thanks my love! OMG in Manhattan, I know the feeling! I tried to do a shoot a couple of summers ago & it was too chaotic for me! I think the best time to take photos is really early in the morning when no one is out yet :)

  13. Your photos are always amazing. I really like your outfits and how you take care about every detail. I understand that sometimes it isn't easy take photo in public because other people watching, but today is so many people who do the same, so it became normal.

  20. First, you are adorable + summer fresh in this look.

Second, YES, taking blog photos in public can be so awkward! The standing around, waiting, while the photog (in my case, my best friend) gets the camera settings right and then waiting for people/cars to get out of the shot, ughhh. It draws so much attention! I usually wave (with a total resting bitch face) to the people who stare/gawk/honk. Haha.

  22. Such a cute casual outfit, I like a graphic tee with denim! :) It's nice you have a special spot you can visit regularly! :)

I try not to take pics in public - most of them are in my back yard instead, haha! Easier to juggle, as hubby refuses to take them as I'm so picky and I have to use my tripod and remote!

Hope that your week is going well! :)

  30. Thank you for the recommendation! Mexican croissants have proven a nightmare after having the real deal, so whenever I'm in the States I will try to grab a better version :)
Taking outfit pictures is a nightmare, I'm not very into modelling myself, and the stares just make me more self-conscious. Great post!
