Hello my loves! Hope you all are well. We just recently came back from Miami which was our last vacation planned for the summer. We had a blast in Miami. It was honestly the most relaxing vacation we've had in years. As you know when we travel we are always none stop exploring. I mean don't get me wrong we love to walk and explore but a relaxing vacation was long overdue. Our stress levels have been pretty high with some personal things so this trip was perfect timing to get away and decompress. Our view was unreal. I woke up every morning and watched the sunrise. It was literally breath taking and the sound of the ocean was just so soothing.
Where we stayed:
- The Confidante on Miami Beach- I highly recommend this hotel. Staff were so friendly, hotel was nice and I loved that it was right on the beach.
Places we went:
- Miami Design District
- Little Havana
- Lincoln Road
- Wynnwood
Where we ate:
- Yardbird Southern Table & Bar- We came here for brunch and my goodness we ordered so much food but worth it. Everything we ordered was amazing!
- Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen- Wow!!! Best jerk chicken and ox tail we've ever had!
- Sanguich De Miami- We came here for sandwiches. My fav was the classic cubano sandwich.
- Cocina con Raices- We got Puerto Rican food and it didn't disappoint.
- Cafe Versailles- They are really know in Miami. A Cuban restaurant and bakery. Very yummy!
- Ambersweet- Great breakfast spot that was right in our hotel.
- The Deck at Island Gardens- The food was good but it was all about the amazing views here. The ambiance was exactly what we were looking for our last dinner in Miami. It was such a vibe!
We kept the exploring very minimal each day, spent a lot of time on the beach and of course ate yummy food! Keven had never been to Miami and he loved it. He's from Puerto Rico and it reminded him very much of the island. Just being surrounded by the sunshine, ocean and palm trees made us both very happy. Surprisingly it was as packed as we thought it would be which was great. Most people wore masks which was good and made us feel safe. Miami, you were so good to us, we'll be back soon for another relaxing vacation.
P.S. How gorgeous was the sunrise on our last morning. Insane!!
